How to Play

Classic Mahjong Connect Rules

Choose one tile, then choose a second matching tile. The pair disappears only when the game can draw a route through empty spaces with no more than two right-angle turns. Routes can run along the blank border outside the board, so edge tiles often open the strongest paths.

Clear all tiles in a level to unlock the next board. The first level keeps the classic 10 x 8 setup, then later levels add more columns, more tile faces, and fewer safety tools. Use Hint when you want a quick readable pair, Shuffle when the remaining board has no comfortable route, and Restart when you want a clean run from level 1. Music and sound buttons let you keep the background loop and tile effects on or off.

Tips for Finding Matches

• Start near the outside edge because border routes are easier to connect.
• Remove pairs that open rows or columns instead of isolated pairs.
• Scan one suit at a time, then check winds and dragons.
• Save hints and shuffles for later levels because the final boards give you less help.
• When a match fails, look for a blocker sitting on the straight segment.
