How to Play

Play Mahjong Connect Online

Mahjong Connect on Bitesize Arcade is a free online tile matching game built for short browser sessions. The board starts as a layered stack of mahjong tiles. You tap open tiles to move them into a small tray, then clear tiles by forming classic mahjong-style sets. Because the tray only has six slots, every tap matters. Pick too many unrelated tiles and the board can lock up fast.

The game uses familiar set names. A Chow is a three-tile run in the same suit, such as 3, 4, and 5 of Characters. A Pong is three identical tiles. A Kong is four identical tiles. These clears make the page feel like a mahjong link game, a triple tile puzzle game, and a tray-based matching challenge at the same time.

Rules

Chow, Pong, and Kong Clears

Chow

Clear three consecutive numbered tiles in the same suit. Chows are useful when the tray has mixed numbers.

Pong

Clear three identical tiles. Pongs are simple, reliable, and often the safest way to open stack space.

Kong

Clear four identical tiles for a stronger set. Kongs take more planning but can free the tray quickly.

Strategy

Tips for Clearing Mahjong Tiles

Start by looking for exposed matching tiles, then decide whether your tray is closer to a Pong, Kong, or Chow. If you already have two identical tiles, search the stack for the third before taking unrelated pieces. If your tray has a run started, such as 4 and 5 of the same suit, look for the missing 3 or 6 before the tray gets crowded.

Boosters are there for pressure moments. Magnet pulls helpful tiles, Undo fixes one rushed tap, Shuffle opens a new board shape, and Peek helps when the stack hides too many options. Use them before the tray is full, not after the board is already out of space.
